BSF Inspector General (Kashmir Frontier) Ashok Yadav reaffirmed on Monday that security along the Line of Control (LoC) remains robust, with the Border Security Force maintaining vigilance over 69 active launching pads. An estimated 100 to 120 terrorists await opportunities to infiltrate, he disclosed during the annual press release.
Yadav credited the G Branch of the BSF for its pivotal role in providing crucial intelligence regarding terrorist movements. He stated, "Our G unit closely monitors all 69 active launching pads along the LoC, where around 100-120 terrorists are poised for infiltration."
Highlighting 2025 as a pivotal year, Yadav noted that BSF teams collaborated with the army to neutralize eight terrorists in four separate infiltration attempts. He lauded the BSF's coordination with the Indian Army during Operation Sindoor, which successfully targeted and inflicted heavy damage on Pakistani posts and terrorist launching sites along the LoC. Subsequent to an attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Yadav assured that specialized counter-insurgency units have been deployed in Gulmarg for enhanced security and tourism protection.
