Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked Dr. BR Ambedkar's death anniversary by announcing protective measures for his statues across the state. Speaking at the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Mahasabha office in Hazratganj, Adityanath revealed plans to safeguard these sites from vandalism, including constructing boundary walls and canopies where necessary.
The Chief Minister criticized certain political parties for alleged appeasement policies, which he claimed disrespect Ambedkar's legacy. He also highlighted initiatives to enhance livelihoods for the marginalized and sanitation workers, emphasizing the efforts of the 'double-engine government' to ensure the well-being of all citizens.
Adityanath underscored the importance of inclusive development inspired by Ambedkar's ideals of justice, equality, and fraternity as envisioned in the Indian Constitution. The tribute coincides with the nationwide commemoration of Mahaparinirvan Diwas, observing the tremendous contributions of Ambedkar to social justice and upliftment.
