Nagaland celebrated a milestone in its agro-business sector with the dispatch of the first Zanthoxylum seed consignment to Dabur India Limited in Assam. Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen formally initiated the shipment, spotlighting the commercial potential of the state's rich array of medicinal plants.
Imchen addressed the significance of converting Nagaland's natural assets into economic opportunities, noting the state's longstanding potential in medicinal herbs. He praised the Nagaland Bio-Resource Mission (NBRM) for securing a strategic partnership with Dabur, which will help transform that potential into tangible benefits.
Dabur's Head of Central Procurement, Narayanan Ranganathan, spoke on the value of Nagaland's agricultural offerings beyond just medicinal plants. He reaffirmed Dabur's commitment to supporting and expanding relations with the state's growers, heralding future opportunities in spices and fruits.
