A tragic fire at a nightclub in North Goa claimed 25 lives, including those of two migrant brothers from Lapung, Jharkhand, on Sunday night. Phagu Mahto, their elder brother, received the devastating news through a call at 2 am, which shattered their close-knit family.

The brothers, Pradeep and Vinod, had migrated to Goa to support their family financially, sending home around Rs 30,000 monthly. Their untimely death left their father, Dhaneshwar Mahto, in shock. The state government has not yet reached out to the grieving family.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed condolences and urged swift recovery for the injured. The incident has raised concerns over nightclub safety protocols, with demands for a high-level probe and compensation for victims' families.
