Torrent Power's Strategic LNG Pact with JERA: Boosting India's Energy Future
Torrent Power has partnered with Japan's JERA to receive up to 0.27 MMTPA of LNG for 10 years starting from 2027. This will enhance their power generation capabilities and support the growing demand in India.

In a significant move to bolster its energy capabilities, Torrent Power has announced a deal with Japanese powerhouse JERA. The pact ensures a supply of up to 0.27 MMTPA of LNG spanning a decade from 2027.
This supply will power Torrent Power's Gas-Based Power Plants, fortifying India's energy infrastructure during peak demands and enhancing the balance of renewable energy solutions.
Additionally, this collaboration promises to augment Torrent's City Gas Distribution services, ensuring a steady flow for domestic, commercial, and industrial needs, while balancing cost-effective strategies amidst fluctuating LNG prices.
