In a significant crackdown, the Rampur Baghelan police have confiscated over 46 kilograms of marijuana valued at more than Rs 9 lakhs. The contraband was found in four sacks hidden under sacks of paddy outside Pankaj Singh Baghel's home. An official case under the NDPS Act has been filed as the investigation proceeds, confirmed ASP Prem Lal Kurve.

Authorities disclosed that the marijuana originated from Anil Bagri and Suhelendra Singh Rajawat, who are also facing charges under the NDPS Act. The enforcement of Sections 8, 20, and 29 hints at a coordinated trafficking network. A thorough investigation is underway to uncover further links and details.

On another front, Madhya Pradesh's Narcotics Wing successfully busted an illicit MD drug operation in Neemuch district, apprehending three individuals. The raid led to the seizure of 2.7 kg of manufactured MD drugs and substantial precursor chemicals, with an estimated market value of over Rs 30 crore, according to DIG Narcotics Mahesh Chandra Jain.
