In a significant development, the Goa Police on Tuesday apprehended the Luthra brothers, Gaurav and Saurabh, at New Delhi's international airport following their deportation from Thailand. A dedicated police team was on site to ensure their immediate arrest after arrival.
The brothers, proprietors of the infamous Birch by Romeo Lane in Goa, were linked to a devastating fire that resulted in the deaths of 25 individuals. After the incident, they fled to Phuket, Thailand, but were detained by Thai authorities under police request following an international manhunt.
Cooperation between Indian and Thai authorities expedited the Luthras' return, aided by an existing extradition treaty.
