The Delhi High Court on Wednesday resolved a fresh public interest litigation (PIL) against IndiGo Airlines over widespread flight cancellations and the resulting passenger inconveniences. The court stated that the issues raised in this PIL are already being reviewed in a previously filed case.

The Bench, comprising Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, acknowledged the petition's request for compensation and class action proceedings but noted these concerns are part of the broader inquiry within an earlier petition. The court maintained that such issues should not spur multiple proceedings.

The Center for Accountability and Systemic Change (CASC), represented by Advocate Virag Gupta, filed the petition. As the court highlighted its commitment to passenger welfare, it underscored the need for IndiGo, alongside regulators, to adhere to standards regarding refunds, assistance, and compensation.
