In a fiery public address in Erode, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) founder Vijay launched a scathing critique of the ruling DMK, accusing the party of spreading false propaganda and engaging in 'ugly politics' to thwart TVK's political growth. He highlighted concerns regarding NEET exemption and gas cylinder subsidies, charging that the DMK has orchestrated a series of misleading campaigns.

Vijay likened the inextricable connection between the DMK and problems to being bonded like Fevicol, asserting that the ruling party's principal agenda is to stifle TVK's rise as a formidable political rival. Despite understanding political mudslinging, Vijay pledged to avoid such tactics. He pointed to TVK's commitment to clear policies, outlined at a previous Kancheepuram meeting, aimed at transforming the state if elected to power.

Further criticizing the government's performance, Vijay queried about School dropout rates escalating under the current administration, claiming Tamil Nadu merely pretends to excel in education. Promising uncompromising law and order under TVK, Vijay dubbed DMK as an 'evil force' with TVK representing a 'pure force.' He reflected on political history, expressing newfound understanding for Jayalalithaa's firm stance against DMK. Concluding his address, Vijay expressed solidarity with the masses, dubbing the final 'Erode Selfie' a symbol of unity.
