India's Green Revolution: Kakinada's $10 Billion Clean-Energy Milestone

A $10 billion green hydrogen and ammonia project in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, is poised to become a landmark in India's clean-energy sector. This initiative aligns with India's ambitions to cater to global markets, including Germany, Japan, and Singapore.
The project's first major equipment erection ceremony is set for January 17, and will be attended by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Konidala Pawan Kalyan. The development is expected to generate around 8,000 jobs and transform allied sectors such as renewable energy, logistics, and port services.
Once operational, the facility will facilitate India's inaugural exports of green ammonia, marking a transition to clean-energy exports. The project is supported by a comprehensive clean-energy ecosystem, including India's first pumped hydro storage facility at Pinnapuram, underscoring Andhra Pradesh's commitment to green leadership.
