AssetPlus, a city-based digital wealth management platform, has successfully raised Rs 175 crore in a funding round spearheaded by Nexus Venture Partners. The investment round also saw participation from Eight Roads Ventures and Rainmatter by Zerodha.

Founded in 2016, AssetPlus integrates technology with expert human advice to empower more than 18,000 Mutual Fund Distributors (MFDs) managing assets worth Rs 7,250 crore. The company oversees a Rs 125 crore monthly Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) and serves 1.5 lakh customers, according to the company's press release issued on Monday. The freshly raised funds are earmarked for enhancing tech infrastructure, expanding product offerings, and bolstering advisory services amid increasing investor engagement and the challenges of do-it-yourself investing.

Vishranth Suresh, Co-founder and CEO, emphasized their commitment to building a wealth management framework that merges human counsel with technological scale. Co-founder and CTO Awanish Raj highlighted efforts to streamline operations for distributors. Notably, Nexus Partner Anand Datta commended AssetPlus' clear vision for India's financial evolution, a sentiment echoed by Shweta Bhatia of Eight Roads and Nithin Kamath of Zerodha.
