Speaking at an Assocham event, Deepak Mishra, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, emphasized that despite fluctuating market conditions, India's dedication to sustainability is unwavering. With a firm transition from intention to action, the government is focusing on reducing carbon intensity and shifting towards a circular economy.
Industry leaders, including Kapil Malhotra and Rambabu Paravastu, echoed these sentiments, stressing the importance of decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors while ensuring energy security and economic growth through strategic innovations, renewable energy, and storage solutions. The event showcased discussions on low-carbon pathways in various sectors, underscoring the immense potential for home-grown technological solutions.
