Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has emphasized the vital role of societal responsibility in ensuring women's safety. Speaking on Saturday, he indicated that legislative and police efforts are insufficient without community backing.
Reddy unveiled the 'Stand With Her' initiative, a campaign led by the Telangana Police, urging men to actively support women's safety. He stressed the necessity for societal involvement, particularly in combating crimes facilitated through social media and technology.
Highlighting the significance of women's safety for their professional advancement, Reddy criticized indifferent attitudes toward women's issues, urging youth to become advocates for women's rights. He lauded the Congress government's efforts with schemes like ration cards and 'Indiramma' houses empowering women.
