Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth marked his presence at the climax of the Military-Civil Fusion Exercise Sanyukt Kavach at Pune's Aundh Military Station. Organised by the Indian Army's Southern Command, the event presented a live exhibition of a coordinated national reaction to a simulated chemical attack in an urban landscape.
The expansive exercise saw the collaboration of 19 agencies, including the Indian Army, Air Force, police, and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), among others. The initiative focused on enhancing the synergy between military and civil bodies to respond efficiently to high-risk situations marked by uncertainty and complexity, as stated in a press release.
This simulation involved multiple procedures, from threat detection to area decontamination and casualty management.
