Despite regional tensions, Russia's state nuclear corporation Rosatom has assured its continued presence in Iran. Rosatom's head, Alexei Likhachev, confirmed the commitment to constructing two additional units at Iran's Bushehr nuclear plant.
Although 150 staff members have recently been evacuated, 450 employees remain on-site to press forward with construction. This move is in line with a broader bilateral nuclear agreement allowing the development of up to eight nuclear units.
Likhachev emphasized that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East is part of a global situation, but assured that their projects in Iran, including a $25 billion agreement to build more units, remain a top priority.
