In a significant breakthrough, the Mandya Police have arrested five individuals in connection with a widespread bike theft operation across Mandya and Mysore districts. The accused were nabbed in two distinct cases, displaying effective policing and community safety measures.

The first case involves Chandrashekhar from Mandya taluka, Kagehalladoddi, who was responsible for stealing at least 15 bikes. He meticulously planned his thefts, targeting bikes parked by farmers near their residences and fields, before selling them illicitly.

The second case saw the arrest of Rihan Pasha, Syed Ayan, and a minor from Mysore district, who allegedly stole 12 bikes. The Mandya East and West police stations collaborated on the operations, culminating in the recovery of 27 bikes and a gold chain valued at a total of Rs. 17 lakh. Spearheading the investigation, Superintendent of Police Shobha Rani commended her team's decisive action.
