In a grand reveal timed with Rajasthan Diwas, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma unveiled the Rajasthan Mandapam project, a visionary initiative set to reshape Jaipur's urban landscape. Presenting pictorial digital views at the Rajasthan International Centre, Sharma highlighted the project's expansive scope and its strategic location near Jaipur International Airport.

Spread across more than 90 acres, the development is envisioned as a vibrant mixed-use ecosystem harmonizing business, tourism, culture, and leisure. Key components include an iconic convention center, extensive expo halls, Global Capability Centres, IT/ITES office spaces, hotels, retail facilities, and a natural history museum. Sustainability and accessibility form the core principles, with an emphasis on connectivity, climate-responsive design, and pedestrian-centric public spaces.

With an estimated investment exceeding Rs 5,800 crore, the Rajasthan Industrial Development & Investment Corporation (RIICO), with NBCC at the helm, will execute the project using a self-financing model. Plans are in place to issue tenders in April, setting the stage for construction. The state-of-the-art convention center, including multiple auditoria and the grand Padam Mandap with a capacity for 6,500, will host various international events and cultural performances.

Furthermore, the project will revitalize the Dravyawati riverfront, blending ecological restoration with recreational activities. This ambitious venture stands as a testament to Rajasthan's evolving infrastructure under the chief minister's visionary leadership. The presentation drew commendation from dignitaries and concluded to applause, with attendees confident in the project's potential to elevate Jaipur to international prominence in conventions and tourism.
