Natural Farming: Himachal's Green Revolution

Himachal Pradesh is setting its sights on a sustainable future through natural farming, as detailed by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. On Sunday, Sukhu underscored the state's focus on promoting natural farming during a virtual inauguration of development projects worth Rs 34.31 crore at the Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry in Solan.
The Chief Minister announced that more than two lakh farmers have registered for natural farming practices, with nearly 1.98 lakh already receiving certification. This initiative is seen as a crucial step toward ensuring the sustainable development of the state's agricultural sector.
As part of the developments, Sukhu inaugurated a 107-bed hostel at the College of Horticulture and Forestry in Neri and the administrative building of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra at Tabo. The foundation stones for multiple working women's hostels in Hamirpur district were also laid, highlighting the state's commitment to empowering rural communities.
