In response to soaring temperatures, Prayagraj authorities have adjusted school timings and advised residents to take precautions against the heat. The IMD has issued a heat wave alert for parts of India, including Jammu & Kashmir and Gujarat, warning of continued heat over the coming days.

In a bid to counter escalating temperatures, Prayagraj's district administration has released an advisory, urging residents to exercise caution during the heat wave. As part of the measures, school hours have been revised, with classes being dismissed by noon, preventing children from prolonged exposure to the scorching sun.

District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma emphasized the necessity for individuals venturing outdoors to cover their heads and maintain hydration to avoid dehydration. Additionally, efforts are underway to install water ATMs at strategic locations to aid in hydration efforts.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heat wave alert for several regions, including northwest and central parts of India. Regions such as Jammu-Kashmir, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh are expected to experience intensified heat through the coming days, underscoring the urgent need for protective measures.
