Singapore calls for proposals for hydrogen-ready CCGT generators, first one to be operational by 2031

​Singapore's ​Energy Market Authority ‌has called ​for proposals to build hydrogen-ready ‌combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) generating units to be operational in ‌2031 and 2032, the ‌agency said in a press release on Wednesday. Under the proposal ⁠request, ​the ⁠private sector will build, own, and ⁠operate the CCGT units, ​with one to be ready ⁠by 2031 and up to ⁠two ​others by 2032.

Each unit is expected to ⁠provide at least 600 megawatts ⁠of generation ⁠capacity, it said.
