Jakub Kratky, a financial analyst at Generali Investments CEE, attributed the leu's decline to the ongoing political turmoil. He noted that market participants are increasingly apprehensive about the government's capacity to sustain reform initiatives, which are vital for maintaining Romania's investment-grade rating.
