Baramulla MP Abdul Rashid Sheikh was granted a one-week interim bail by the Delhi High Court, permitting him to visit his critically ill father at SMHS Hospital in Srinagar. Sheikh's father, who is currently on ventilator support, expressed a deep desire to see his son during this critical time.

Sheikh, detained in relation to a terror funding case, was warmly welcomed by supporters and family upon his arrival at Srinagar airport. His brother, Sheikh Khurshid, voiced gratitude to the Delhi High Court for the bail, highlighting the emotional significance of this reunion for their ailing father.
