In a stirring address marking International Workers Day, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy saluted the state's workforce and reaffirmed his administration's commitment to improving their lives. As per a statement from the Chief Minister's Office, Reddy emphasized the importance of the working class in driving Telangana's development.
The Chief Minister highlighted the series of welfare and developmental initiatives, including the recent launch of a Rs 5 Lakh accident insurance scheme for gig workers and the Telangana Gig and Platform Workers' Welfare Act. These programs underline the government's dedication to ensuring workers receive the respect and dignity they deserve.
The administration has also fulfilled long-pending compassionate appointments across various government departments and provided substantial bonuses to Singareni company workers, who play a crucial role in the state’s progress. Recognizing the contribution of workers abroad, special measures are underway to aid Telangana workers in the Gulf, including financial assistance for families of deceased workers.
