At Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) in Prayagraj, faculty protests have intensified against the administration over delayed salary payments and alleged irregularities in promotions.

According to the agitating staff, salary arrears extend up to 28 months for some, while others face non-payment stretching over eight months. They voiced their frustration over religious considerations influencing promotion processes, further claiming the management exerts pressure to attend religious gatherings called 'Yeshu Darbar.'

Professor Shivani Verma and Associate Professor Poonam Patel highlighted administrative negligence, asserting that officials have locked offices and evaded dialogue as concerns about job threats and mental harassment mount. They reported religious discrimination and pressure as significant factors impeding their professional growth.
