Tragic Holiday: Brothers Drown in Canal

Two brothers, Santhosh and Sanjai, drowned while bathing in a canal during their summer holidays at their aunt's place. They were waiting for their board exam results. Their disappearance led to a search by the Fire and Rescue Services, who found them deceased. Police are investigating the incident.

In a tragic incident, two minor brothers drowned while on a family holiday in a village in Tiruchirapalli district. The siblings, Santhosh, 17, and Sanjai, 15, were eagerly waiting for their board exam results. After arriving at their aunt's house in Gopaliparai hamlet, they decided to take a bath in the nearby Lower Bhavani Project canal.

Unfortunately, the outing turned fatal. Venturing into deeper waters, both boys disappeared, prompting concern when they failed to return home. Their aunt's quick response led to the involvement of the Fire and Rescue Services.

The rescue team, after a brief search, located the brothers' bodies. The Arachalure police have registered the case as a drowning incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to this heartbreaking event.
