A young man from Andhra Pradesh has allegedly taken his own life in Chicago, driven by distress over mounting debts, local sources disclosed on Saturday. The deceased's family, wishing to keep their identities private due to health concerns, mourn the tragic loss.
In response, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh expressed his condolences and pledged to facilitate the repatriation of the young man's remains. He appealed to Union Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu for seamless transportation arrangements, using social media to emphasize the need for urgency.
Meanwhile, an NRI community representative in the US verified that a member from Kurnool on Optional Practical Training (OPT) passed away recently. The Telugu Association of North America has completed the necessary documentation to return the remains to India. They have requested faster cargo pickup due to the pressing circumstances.
