In a significant policy decision, the Uttarakhand Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, has approved the Voluntary/Partial Consolidation Incentive Policy-2026. This initiative focuses on boosting the economic conditions of farmers and advancing agricultural development in the state's hill districts.

The state's strategy involves executing land consolidation projects in five villages annually across each of its 11 hill districts, promising to impact a total of 275 villages over the next five years.

Earlier this week, Chief Minister Dhami was a distinguished guest at the 'Shaurya, Samman aur Veerta' event in Dehradun, commemorating the anniversary of Operation Sindoor. Dhami praised the operation, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and executed by the Indian Armed Forces, for its efficiency in neutralizing terrorism threats.

He emphasized the operation's success while the nation slept, highlighting the destruction of terror bases within 22 minutes and the interception of incoming threats by India's air defense system.

The chief minister also noted that almost every household in Uttarakhand is connected to the armed forces, underscoring a profound bond between the state's people and its soldiers. He praised ongoing efforts to elevate soldiers' morale and enhance the military's technological capabilities. India’s strides toward self-reliance in defense and exporting armaments were also acknowledged.
