Andhra Pradesh Pioneers Defence Manufacturing with Groundbreaking Projects

At a landmark ceremony, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu marked the initiation of several crucial aerospace and defence projects in Puttaparthi, Sri Satya Sai district. Emphasizing 'Aatmanirbharta,' Singh highlighted the shift towards self-reliance, crucial for national security amid global unrest.
The projects, including a Core Integration and Flight Testing Centre supporting Fifth-Generation AMCA development, are poised to revolutionize India's defence sector. Establishing a Naval Systems Manufacturing Facility further enhances underwater weapon capabilities. These projects aim to propel Andhra Pradesh to the forefront of defence innovation and economic growth.
Adding to the transformative developments, a consortium of drone companies is setting up a 'Drone City' in Kurnool. Such initiatives are expected to create job opportunities, foster small-scale industries, and establish Andhra Pradesh as a significant player on the global defence map. Supporting infrastructure and educational institutes will ensure a sustainable growth trajectory.
