SCTIMST's Golden Jubilee Celebrated with Major Advancements in Medical Technology

Union Minister for Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh, virtually addressed the 42nd annual convocation of the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), an Institution of National Importance under the Department of Science and Technology.
During his address, Singh congratulated the graduates and celebrated the Institute's Golden Jubilee. He highlighted the achievements of SCTIMST, noting that the approval of 800 permanent faculty appointments would significantly boost its capacity.
Singh praised the Health Ministry's establishment of new facilities, enhancing SCTIMST's status as a leading center for neurosurgery and cardiac sciences. He also applauded the treatment of over 17,000 patients under health initiatives since 2020. Furthermore, Singh acknowledged advancements in medical technologies and partnerships with industries, fostering indigenous innovation each year.
