B Tech student held for 'raping' classmate in Hyderabad
A BTech student was arrested here for allegedly raping his classmate after forcibly making her consume liquor, police said on Tuesday.The incident occurred on May 14 night and based on a complaint lodged by the 20-year-old woman in Ibrahimpatnam Police Station, a case was registered on May 15 and the accused was arrested on Monday.As per the complaint, both the victim and the accused, are pursuing BTech in a college located in Ibrahimpatnam area.

A BTech student was arrested here for allegedly raping his classmate after forcibly making her consume liquor, police said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on May 14 night and based on a complaint lodged by the 20-year-old woman in Ibrahimpatnam Police Station, a case was registered on May 15 and the accused was arrested on Monday.
As per the complaint, both the victim and the accused, are pursuing BTech in a college located in Ibrahimpatnam area. They got acquainted as they were studying in the same class, police said.
On the night of May 14, the 20-year-old accused took the victim out from near her house in a car on the pretext of going out for tea.
He drove her around and while returning towards Ibrahimpatnam, he purchased liquor en route. He then ''forcibly made her consume liquor'', and he also consumed liquor.
Subsequently, he took the intoxicated victim to a room in Ibrahimpatnam and allegedly raped her, police said based on the complaint.
During the course of investigation the accused was arrested and produced before a court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
Ibrahimpatnam Police Station Inspector of Police M Mahender Reddy in a release said in this case, immediate action was taken and the accused was arrested promptly.
