Light showers bring respite from severe heat in parts of Punjab

Light showers with thunder, lightning, and strong winds brought relief to Punjab residents from severe heat, affecting areas including Phagwara, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, and Pathankot.

Light showers at a few places in Punjab, including Phagwara and Hoshiarpur, on Friday morning brought relief to residents from the severe heat prevailing in the state.

The showers were accompanied by thunder, lightning and strong winds.

Jalandhar and Pathankot districts also experienced light rain.

Day temperatures have hovered close to 45 degrees Celsius at several places in Punjab over the past few days.
