The Delhi High Court is preparing to address the legal plea of Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), on May 29. The plea contests the government's decision to block the party's Twitter account, known as X, citing national security reasons. Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav will oversee the proceedings concerning this controversial case.
Accusations against the government involve the alleged hacking and removal of CJP's Instagram, website, and backup social media accounts, which Dipke describes as part of a regulatory crackdown on this satirical political group. He claims personal and official accounts endured breaches, underscoring the extent of the disruption to their digital presence.
The Cockroach Janta Party, recognized for its satirical approach to political discourse, has amassed substantial online support, particularly among younger generations. Dipke states a significant petition for Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation due to a NEET-UG controversy, emphasizing the party's political impact.
