In a critical development, the Saket District Court has granted bail to an individual accused in a notable late-night road robbery case, marking an end to his 14-month-long judicial custody. The court highlighted the prolonged detention and the pending charges as significant factors in its decision. The prosecution's plea for additional investigation added further complexities.

The case dates back to February 2025 when an alleged robbery involving a gold chain and mobile phone occurred near Defence Colony Flyover. The incident unfolded after a car, driven by victim Rishabh Mishra, met with a tyre burst, leading to a collision and subsequent assault by a group. The accused, Danish alias Matka, has been held since March 1, 2025.

ASJ Mohammad Ehtesham noted the investigative delays and emphasized that prolonged custody serves no purpose. Bail was permitted on a personal bond, while the prosecution maintains the gravity of charges against the accused. With ongoing efforts to trace another suspect, the case continues to evoke significant legal scrutiny.
