In response to the unrelenting heatwave in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has swiftly initiated comprehensive relief and rescue strategies to safeguard residents.
During a recent review, the Chief Minister tasked district magistrates and key sectors like health and electricity with remaining vigilant, particularly in strategically critical functions including hospital operations and essential services. The administration has emphasized the need for robust medical readiness in hospital facilities, particularly for heatstroke patients, and the general populace is advised to wear breathable clothing to combat the extreme temperatures.
Highlighting safety, Chief Minister Adityanath urged preventive actions against possible fire outbreaks during this arid period. Special instructions were also given to protect outdoor laborers from heat-induced health risks. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed for nationwide caution, urging hydration and community support amid soaring temperatures, as the IMD warns of persistent severe heat conditions across vast portions of India.
