In a significant political move, Karnataka's Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, has announced his resignation from office, a decision aligned with guidance from the Congress party's high command. However, despite an opportunity to transition to the Rajya Sabha, Siddaramaiah is steadfast in his intent to remain active in state politics.

Siddaramaiah, speaking at a press conference, emphasized, "I have resigned voluntarily, and there was no compulsion. My commitment lies with Karnataka's state politics, not national, as I've conveyed to the high command. I aim to serve Karnataka until my last breath." He shared his deep gratitude towards the party leadership and expressed his dedication to serving the people.

Reflecting on his tenure, Siddaramaiah highlighted several key achievements, citing improvements in social welfare, health, and agriculture. He also addressed the political challenges he faced, including opposition tactics and personal attacks.
