In a post on X, Sarma expressed gratitude for Nadda's pivotal role in bolstering the BJP in Assam and aiding in electoral victories. The discussions revolved around expanding healthcare infrastructure, from medical colleges to proton beam therapy and increasing the intake of medical professionals.
Assam is ambitiously positioning itself as a leader in advanced healthcare services in the Northeast, with medical tourism as a critical component. Meanwhile, Sarma also held talks with Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who assured support for Assam's energy self-sufficiency goals and urban development initiatives, reflecting closer collaborative efforts between the Centre and the state.
