In discussions with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Sarma focused on reinforcing India’s Act East Policy, with an emphasis on leveraging Assam’s strategic location to bolster trade and tourism with neighboring countries. Dialogue with Sarbananda Sonowal concentrated on accelerating Assam's development into a 'Viksit Assam,' reviewing past achievements while planning future growth strategies.
