Uttar Pradesh Police Nab Textile Merchant Robbery Suspects in Dramatic Encounter
In Hapur, Uttar Pradesh Police arrested one suspect and injured another after a dramatic encounter related to the robbery of a textile merchant. The crime involved stealing over Rs 16 lakhs. The merchant's driver was identified as the mastermind. Key arrests followed a police chase and shootout.

In a high-stakes operation in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh Police managed to apprehend suspects involved in an armed robbery targeting a textile merchant. The encounter occurred after an intense police pursuit on the Delhi-Moradabad highway, culminating in the recovery of a significant portion of the stolen sum.
Authorities reported that the robbers made off with over Rs 16 lakhs by stopping the merchant's vehicle at gunpoint. During investigations, it was revealed that the merchant’s driver masterminded the crime, collaborating with accomplices identified as Nihal and Rizwan, also known as Munnu.
Police efforts, fueled by the driver's confession, led them to a confrontation with the suspects who resisted arrest by opening fire. In retaliation, police injured Rizwan, while successfully capturing Nihal. Law enforcement recovered cash, pistols, and the vehicle used in the heist, with legal proceedings now underway.
