In response to the influx of pilgrims for the ongoing Char Dham Yatra, the Rishikesh administration convened on Friday to evaluate pre-monsoon measures and enhance facilities for the devotees. The review meeting came as the pilgrimage's second phase got underway, with officials focusing on safety and convenience during the potentially disruptive monsoon season.

Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) Sunil Kumar Meena stated that multiple security agencies, including the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), State Police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), have been strategically positioned along the route. Meena assured that comprehensive security measures are in place and highlighted the ongoing preparations to provide improved amenities.

Meena also advised pilgrims to comply with the issued guidelines and utilize the Sachet mobile application for real-time weather updates. The administration's data revealed significant pilgrim presence at Kedarnath and Badrinath, leading the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) to recommend advance preparation, including early registration, warm clothing, and pre-arranged accommodation, especially with the monsoon approaching.
