As Jharkhand braces for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections, Tourism Minister Sudivya Kumar called on the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) to contest on two seats, emphasizing that the ultimate decision rests with Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Speaking to ANI, Kumar conveyed the party workers’ sentiments about the election stakes.

In parallel, Congress Legislature Party leader Pradeep Yadav highlighted the importance of the INDIA alliance’s unity, terming it crucial not just for securing Rajya Sabha seats but for the broader political landscape of the state and country. He warned that any deviation at this point could affect national secular forces.

The Congress Party, under President Mallikarjun Kharge, announced its candidates across states, including nominations from major regions like Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. Simultaneously, the Bharatiya Janata Party unveiled its list of candidates, marking its intent to strengthen its influence in the Upper House.
