Shamli Superintendent of Police, Narendra Pratap Singh, has brought to light a disturbing case of alleged forced religious conversion driven by property interests. According to Singh, the incident involved a young man being lured into a romantic entanglement, which led to his religious conversion under duress. This scheme, he noted, involved significant property assets owned by the victim's family.
The police have arrested two individuals linked to this case, which occurred in the Kajiwada neighborhood under the Kotwali police station. Singh explained that the victim's family, owners of two pharmacies, became targets after their son, Ayush, converted to Islam. The alleged orchestrators utilized a gym trainer and physiotherapist, Chandni, to ensnare Ayush due to his role in managing the family business.
Investigations indicate Chandni and her family, including her father, were complicit in this plan. Not only did Chandni exert influence over Ayush, but her father assisted in the conversion, accompanied by claims of marriage. With the accused now in custody, Singh assured that a Special Investigation Team would thoroughly explore all aspects of the plot.
