Haryana's Rural Revitalization: Ownership Rights and Development Initiatives Unveiled

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini introduced measures providing ownership rights to rural families on village land, set to ease regulations and expand waste management infrastructure. Aiming for comprehensive growth, these initiatives saw funds direct-transferred for rural development and awards honoring exceptional Panchayats, reinforcing village empowerment.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, on Tuesday, announced a significant relief measure allowing rural families occupying village shamlat land for over two decades to apply for ownership rights until January 16, 2027. The families will be required to pay an amount equivalent to 1.5 times the 2004 Collector Rate land valuation.

Addressing documentation hurdles faced by potential beneficiaries, the government's directive extends this opportunity to enhance rural participation in land ownership. Chief Minister Saini further emphasized the reinforcement of waste management in rural regions, announcing provisions for tractor-trolleys, drivers, and waste collection staff in every village. Additionally, Waste-to-Energy projects are underway to bolster sustainability.

Speaking at the State-Level Sashakt Panchayat Samaroh in Panchkula, Saini inaugurated LED lighting for roads in 179 villages across 17 districts, totaling Rs. 23.21 crore. He also launched 350 e-Atal Libraries in the same districts, with investments reaching Rs. 44 crore.

In a move to facilitate village-level development, the Chief Minister transferred Rs. 1,056.75 crore directly to Panchayati Raj Institutions. He recognized six exemplary Gram Panchayats with Jagrit Gram Awards, granting them Rs. 1.66 crore in total for their achievements in development, sanitation, and governance.

The Chief Minister also unveiled the book "Dharmakshetra Kurukshetra," celebrating Kurukshetra's cultural and religious heritage. Emphasizing that India's strength is rooted in its villages and Panchayats, Saini reiterated the state's commitment to making villages integral partners in growth by allocating over Rs. 2,697 crore to diverse schemes.

Saini credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for reimagining rural areas as potential growth centers rather than policy endpoints. This new approach, he noted, ensures benefits reach even the most remote citizens, marking an era of renewed governance and public service. India's development trajectory over the past decade has reflected growing public trust under Modi's leadership. (ANI)
