In a decisive move against illegal encroachments, the management of a madrasa constructed on government-owned pond land in Sitapur has begun self-demolishing the building. This comes after the district administration issued a stringent order and imposed a hefty fine, reported Sitapur District Magistrate (DM) Dr. Rajaganapathy R. The case, he noted, is related to the Kachnar area.
The magistrate's order, issued under Section 67(5), required the immediate removal of the unauthorized structure and upheld a financial penalty of Rs 10 lakh. "This is regarding the Kachnar case. We've issued a clear directive through the DM's court to either self-demolish the madrasa or face forcible removal," Dr. Rajaganapathy R told ANI.
Dr. Rajaganapathy R emphasized that such actions are part of a larger campaign against land grabbing in the state. "Continuous actions are being taken by the district administration according to government directives to eliminate all illegal encroachments and enforce punishment against land mafias," he stated. A similar demolition of an illegal madrasa recently occurred in Ghaziabad, affirming the administration's stance on enforcing land laws.
