In a bid to boost Gujarat's status as a leading industrial hub, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel officiated the groundbreaking ceremony for Hitachi Energy's new power transformer plant in Karjan, Vadodara district. The project, requiring an investment of approximately Rs 2,000 crore, underscores India's rapid economic growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, according to a statement from the Gujarat Chief Minister's Office.

Highlighting the alignment with the 'Make in India' initiative, Chief Minister Patel lauded the project's potential to foster self-reliance in the energy sector, spur job creation, and facilitate skill development. The facility is expected to invigorate the local economy by opening up new growth avenues for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the area.

Drawing attention to Gujarat's appeal as a prime investment destination, Patel noted the state's robust industrial climate, transparent governance, and law-abiding environment. The introduction of Hitachi Energy's facility is anticipated to enhance transmission systems essential for meeting green energy demands and to help realize the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Top officials, including Hitachi Energy executives and local dignitaries, attended the event, marking a significant milestone in India's energy landscape.
