In a decisive move, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has ordered officials to be on high alert throughout the monsoon season, emphasizing the need for robust measures ensuring public safety. The Chief Minister expressed dissatisfaction over recent disruptions caused by heavy rains and vowed stringent action against negligent officials.

During a high-level review meeting, CM Reddy criticized the city’s municipal, police, and traffic departments for their inability to prevent traffic chaos during downpours, despite warnings from the Meteorological Department. He highlighted a lack of coordination and directed swift corrective actions, stressing the need for on-ground presence by both municipal and police teams during heavy rains.

CM Reddy also focused on ensuring seamless power supply, urging the Energy department to expedite restoration and deploying mobile transformers as needed. In the agriculture sector, he instructed officials to manage urea distribution efficiently and advised precautionary measures against water contamination, emphasizing coordination among relevant departments to maintain public health standards.
