Parliament Committee Gathers Insights on Child Crime

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs is set to conduct meetings on June 16 and 17 to discuss child crime with various ministries and stakeholders. Discussions will include insights from the Ministry of Home Affairs, NCRB, Ministry of Women and Child Development, and MeitY.

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs is poised to convene a series of pivotal discussions focusing on the pressing issue of crime against children. Scheduled for June 16 and 17, these meetings aim to gather comprehensive insights from key ministries and stakeholders.

The initial session is slated for June 16 at 11:00 am, where committee members will engage with the Ministry of Home Affairs at New Delhi's Parliament House Annexe. Later that day, the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) will present its perspectives at 2:30 pm, continuing the crucial dialogue.

On June 17, the committee will reconvene to hear from the Ministry of Women and Child Development at 11:00 am, followed by a final meeting at 2:30 pm with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Members have been supplied with a background note from the Ministry of Home Affairs to facilitate informed discussions.
