In a remarkable and symbolic gesture, the Japanese Miyazaki mango, renowned as the 'Egg of the Sun' and one of the world's most expensive mangoes, was offered to Lord Ram at Ayodhya's esteemed Ram Mandir. This historic first occurred as part of local tradition on a Monday.

Priced between Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 3 lakh per kilogram in the global market, the rare fruit was cultivated by a visionary local farmer. Omprakash Singh, the farmer responsible for this unique cultivation, shared insights into the mango's adaptation to Ayodhya's climate.

The presentation of this premium fruit aligns with the age-old tradition of dedicating the first harvest to the deity. Mahant Sitaram Das Ji Maharaj, present at the offering, lauded the event's significance, noting the mango's sun-like hue as a divine reflection. This cultivation marks a noteworthy addition to Ayodhya's agricultural heritage.
