In a blistering critique, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK leader M K Stalin attacked the state government on Tuesday, pinpointing a rise in crimes against children and demanding a response from Chief Minister Vijay after the reported rape and murder of a toddler in Tiruvallur district.

Stalin took to X, formerly Twitter, highlighting Vijay's previous claims of appointing 'efficient officials' and launching the 'Singappen Padai' (Lioness Force), questioning if the CM could ignore the grieving families. He called for action with the hashtag '#WhySilentCM'.

Echoing these sentiments, DMK's TKS Elangovan lambasted Vijay's administration for doing little to curb such offenses, accusing them of being 'silent spectators' rather than governing effectively, amidst mounting political pressure over law and order in the state, reported ANI.
