Uttarakhand Finance Minister Prakash Pant passes away; Three days state mourning

Uttarakhand Finance Minister Prakash Pant passed away in the US earlier today. He was undergoing treatment for lung ailment in the US. Three days state mourning declared in the state after the death of Finance Minister and One-day public holiday declared for tomorrow.

Earlier, Pant was admitted for a few days in the ICU of Rajiv Gandhi Hospital, Delhi. With his sudden demise, there is a wave of grief in the entire region including Pithoragarh.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat condoles the death of his colleague and finance minister Prakash Pant. He wrote, "My senior colleague in Uttarakhand and the finance minister of the state, Shri Prakash Pant Ji, passed away and he is shocked and distressed by the news."
