Bomb blast kills two in Daquq district of Kirkuk in Iraq

A bomb blast has killed two persons on Friday night in Daquq district of Kirkuk in Iraq, according to local media reports. An improvised explosive device hit a family of nine near Bashir village, killing two people and wounding the seven others.

It was the third straight night of violence in the district.

On Wednesday, following a suspected Islamic State (ISIS) mortar attack, nine civilians and a police officer were killed when a van they were traveling in was accidentally targeted by the police, who thought the vehicle belonged to insurgents.

Then on Thursday night, suspected ISIS militants launched another mortar attack in the district without causing any causalities.
